Understanding the support

What are our Holiday Programs?

"School holidays should be something everyone looks forward to."

Make a Referral

School Holiday Programs run during every school holiday period and offer participants aged 5 to 25 a safe, fun and structured way to spend their holidays โ€” doing real activities they actually enjoy.

Programs are designed to build social skills, confidence and community connection in a low-pressure, high-fun environment. Every day is different, with a mix of outings, activities, creative projects and downtime.

For families and carers, our holiday programs also provide planned, reliable respite โ€” so everyone gets the break they need.

What to expect

What Happens at Holiday Programs?

Every day is packed with activities that are fun, social and genuinely meaningful.

๐ŸŽจ

Arts & Creative Activities

Painting, crafts, music, photography and creative projects that build confidence and self-expression.

We incorporate a wide range of arts and creative activities into our holiday programs. This may include painting and drawing, sculpture and craft, music, digital photography, collage, tie-dye, cooking activities, and creative projects that participants can take home and be proud of. Creative activities build confidence, self-expression, focus and communication skills โ€” and they're just plain fun.
โšฝ

Sport & Movement

Swimming, games, active outdoor activities and sport that get everyone moving and having fun.

Physical activity is a key part of our holiday programs. We include a mix of structured and unstructured sport and movement activities. This may include swimming, team sports, outdoor games, running and chasing games, fitness challenges, dance, yoga or any other physical activity suited to the group. We adapt every activity to ensure all participants can participate safely and enjoyably.
๐ŸŒ

Community Outings

Exciting outings to parks, cinemas, bowling, minigolf, markets and more โ€” out in the real world.

Getting out into the community is a highlight of every holiday program. We plan exciting and varied outings that give participants real experiences. This may include trips to the cinema, bowling, minigolf, local parks, markets, museums, zoos, water parks and sporting events. All outings are planned with safety, accessibility and participant enjoyment at the centre.
๐Ÿ•

Social Lunches & Cooking

Group lunches, barbecues, cooking activities and shared meals that build connection and life skills.

Food brings people together, and shared mealtimes are an important part of our holiday programs. We incorporate group lunches, barbecues, cooking activities and snack preparation into the program schedule. These activities build social skills, communication and practical life skills. Dietary needs and preferences are always accommodated.
๐ŸŽฎ

Games & Downtime

Board games, video games, card games and unstructured downtime that give everyone a chance to relax.

Not every moment needs to be structured. We build regular downtime into our holiday programs โ€” time for participants to relax, choose their own activities, play games and just hang out. This may include board games, card games, video games, puzzles, reading, music or sensory activities. Unstructured time is important for emotional regulation and genuine enjoyment.
๐Ÿค

Social Skills Building

Real social interactions, peer connection and communication practice woven naturally into every day.

Every activity in our holiday programs is an opportunity to build social skills. We intentionally structure activities to encourage peer interaction, turn-taking, communication, conflict resolution, teamwork and friendship building. For many participants, holiday programs are where their most meaningful peer friendships are formed.

Our approach

School holidays should feel like

We plan programs that participants genuinely look forward to โ€” and that families can trust completely.

Understanding the
Codes on Your Invoice

School Holiday Programs are funded from your Core Supports budget under Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation.

Holiday programs are a great way to use your Core Supports funding productively during school holidays, particularly if your child's regular supports aren't available during that period.

"My daughter counts down the days until the next holiday program. She comes home buzzing with what she did. As a parent, knowing she's safe and having genuine fun while I get a real break โ€” that's priceless."
